It gets pretty dry and hot here, but Spring, although brief, can be beautiful and full of promise (in the form of rain and a new start). I took this picture at a place called Kholm (or Tashkurkhan as it is called originally) as we drove through on our way to Aqcha. The air was heavy with the scent of the blossom on the trees. Wow!

I don't have an answer to your question about the upload, but I am so far fascinated by your photos. Here in USA we have a very limited view of Afghanistan and its people. You do us a great service. Please keep posting. Also, I'm sure, you do them a service as well. I am forwarding your blog to a friend from NL also interested in the kind of work you do. This photo is spectacular, I think. A great landscape study.
