Closed shops in Aqcha. I was struck by the light and colors and took this shot.
Shops like these may sell anything from candy to carpets. I'll post a picture of a carpet shop later.

O yes, I missed yesterday's posting because I received a phone-call saying that one of our fieldworkers had been beaten severely and was in the local hospital. I went to see him and it looked as if someone had beaten him on the head with a 4 by 4. Apparently twenty men had come to his house to settle a dispute and our fieldworker had come out unsuspecting & unarmed. He had a huge gash on his head and, judging by the wound, it was clear to me these guys wouldn't have cared if they had beaten him to death.
It looks like family related matters, nothing to do with our work here.
