simple beauty

I'm enthusiastic when I see what amazing structures can be built out of mud and straw. Besides its simple beauty, it's also the best way of constructing heat resistant buildings. This is a small mosque in one of a group of villages called 'Chillik', in the semi desert, about 20 km from where we live.
We're driving from our town in the north to Kabul tomorrow. That'll take the day and I might not post tomorrow. We also have a holiday planned and may be offline for a couple of weeks, but I'll let you know when we leave.
