A picture taken about a year ago in Aqcha. Converted to B&W. I really enjoy realizing that might I have seen this man 150 years ago, he would have looked the same. It's some kind of time travel.

Very nice B&W portrait ! Such an intense look, full of wisdom, and yet with a spark... almost of mischievousness !

@Stan Pulsar: Thanks Stan, I agree with you on the mischievousness observation! Exactly what I saw when I took the picture!
This man you captured is VERY Handsome! A fine capture with the beautiful aging of his skin and texture of his well traveled clothes.

This is a very good portrait of this man. Your time spent with him must be reflected in his trust, enough to also offer a hint of a smile in those expressive eyes.

Very enjoyable. What is the attitude of Afghanis to your taking photos of them?

@Pixadilly: Hi Pixadilly, normally no problem, men mostly enjoy having their picture taken, children are often shy, but I can't take pictures of women generally because of cultural restrictions.
This is my favorite I think, speaks volumes for me, his sophisticated look, the bowl...such an amazing place to be a part of.
